Spring Fever Triathlon Registration Open; Race date: 4/21/2012

The Tulsa Area Triathletes would like to invite you to be a part of it’s Spring Fever Triathlon.  Long held as a favorite by area triathletes, Spring Fever is a USAT Sanctioned triathlon and the best way to start off your racing season.  This year will be no exception.  The race will start with a 400 Meter Time Trial Snake Swim, followed by a 12 mile road course bike, and finally wrapping up with a 2 mile Run to the finish.  Included in your registration will be Technical Fiber Shirts, great post race food, as well as unique awards. In addition, anyone who competes in the Spring Fever Triathlon, Chris Brown Duathlon, and the triTulsa Festival will receive an additional gift at the triTulsa Festival.  So be sure to set your schedule to compete in all three of these events.

TAT Tri 101 Forum Set

While there is an abundance of triathlon information available online these days, sometimes it just helps to hear it in person. To kick off the 2012 season, TAT is hosting a FREE informal Tri101 forum geared toward newcomers to the sport, but open to all.

Saturday, February 4 at 1:00pm, Patti Johnson Wilson YWCA, 1910 S. Lewis, Tulsa.

There will be a short presentation of how to prepare for and complete a sprint triathlon, followed by Q&A. Our panel of ‘experts’ will point you in the right direction so that you may achieve your triathlon goals! This event is open to the public–you do not have to be a member of the Tulsa Area Triathletes club or the YWCA to attend. Several Door prizes will be awarded, including a free entry to TAT’s Spring Fever Triathlon held in April!

Stay for a brief social after the Forum, also at the YWCA.
