A friendly reminder from TriCamp ’12 leader, Joey Gursky:
“Just wanted to give you a brief snapshot of where we are with TriCamp. We have SIX WEEKS left to prepare for Spring Fever triathlon. If you have not made it out to train with us yet, it may not be too late to join us, if you have been training for the last few weeks on your own. Even though this is only a sprint-distance triathlon, there is much information to cover, and I would like to see you all prepared and confident on race day. The best way to be ready is to come to all training sessions available, and stay consistent.
Our next training ride is this WEDNESDAY at 5:30 from the Oktoberfest parking lot.”

SPRING 2012 Newbie training program info:
Tri Camp ’12 is designed specifically for people new to multisport, with the final goal of having you ready to compete in Spring Fever sprint-distance triathlon on April 21, 2012. At that time, we plan to offer an intermediate level Tri Camp, which will prepare you for an Olympic-distance event.
Having said that, these programs will also be for new people –OR– for ANYONE, at any current fitness level or experience, who needs a group to ride with, and who would like to network and find like-minded friends to run with, ride with, or swim with. We meet every Wednesday at 5:30pm, and mid-day Sundays for a ride. Wednesday rides may switch to a tad later once we have more daylight to work with. (DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME starts March 11, 2011! WOO HOO!)
RSVP to this notification and let us know if you are coming, and please send us your cell phone #, and Joey can keep you in the loop (through “Group Me” smart phone app), in case anything is cancelled. Bring your running shoes — we typically do a short run after the ride (AKA a “brick” work out).
We also give out training tips and some sort of a prize at each ride, so you may win some swag if you show up!!
