Plenty of space to workout, but now that school is back in the pool can get a little crowded

I was there last Tuesday and I think they were having a frat party on the diving boards,,,, kinda turned into an open water swim w/ all the waves

my only question about the ORU pool is how crowded is it? If there are only a few lanes reserved, is there enough space to get a good workout in?

Don't go to golds. It's gotta be at least 80 there. I can't ever get in more than about 1200yds before I'm close to puking...

On the other hand the ORU pool is AWESOME.

I was hoping someone would be able to help me on locating a few good pools in the area. I try to hit the pool at least once or twice a week  and the OWS on the weekend. the problem is I had been going to the Thorton Y but i guess the pool closed for good due to some flooding or whatever. I live on the South side of Tulsa. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks again.

The Tulsa Wheelmen's Final Monthly Time Trial of the season is coming up soon:

The race is in the evening on Thursday, August 12th at Mohawk Park.  It is held on a course completely closed to traffic with a distance of 10km.  As a USAC sanctioned time trial, aero bars are legal.  Good training and practice for triathlons and Dus.

There is also a mass start kid's race for those under 10.

More info on kid's race and TT:

I'm interested. Do we have to bid on them on ebay? I'd prefer to arrange a local private sale if possible.

Swimming area is on South side of lake. You can't miss it. The main entrance (Heyburn Lake Road) will take you right there.
