2014 TAT Spring Fever Triathlon
Join us as we kick-off Tulsa Area Triathletes 2014 Race Series. The first of three events the TAT Spring Fever Triathlon will be held at the Claremore Recreation Center. This “super” sprint triathlon is a great race for beginners and the elite. The swim is a 400 meter snake pool swim followed by a 12 mile road bike course, ending with a 2 mile flat road run.

Race Day Schedule: (times are approximate) No race day registration.
- 6:00 am – registrant check in and transition area opens
- 7:45 am – transition area closes
- 7:50 am – pre-race meeting
- 8:00 am – swim begin
- Teams may be 2 or 3 participants.
- Each participant may complete 1 or 2 parts of the triathlon.
- The team category is a relay. No part of the triathlon can be started before previous parts are completed.
- Finisher medal for all finishing participants
- Age group awards
Timing & Race Results
This will be Champion Chip Timed Event. You will be given your chip race day morning. It will be removed after you cross the finish line. If you drop out of the race PLEASE be sure to return the chip to a “Chip” volunteer at the finish line. If not returned, you will incur a $35 replacement fee. Race results will be available following the race and will be submitted to USAT.
Transition & Gear Check
Transition area is for race entrants, ONLY! Bikes, helmets, and gear will be checked prior to entry into transition area. You must have your race number prior to racking your bike. You cannot take your bike out of transition once it is racked. NO ONE will be allowed in transition area until the Race Director announces that the transition area is open (typically after the last athlete is off the bicycle course).
NO TRANSFERS & NO REFUNDS. YOU, AND ONLY YOU, MAY PICK UP YOUR RACE PACKET. Packets should be picked-up prior to race day. For exceptional circumstances, packets may be picked-up on race day (approval must be received by Race Director [yup, another clicky link])
Packet pick-up will be at RunnersWorld Tulsa April 17th and 18th between the hours on Thursday 10am-7:30pm and Friday 10am-9pm.
Tulsa Area Triathletes – Host Of The 2014 Spring Fever
Tulsa Area Triathletes (TAT) is a non-profit Oklahoma corporation with a mission of promoting and providing fair and safe competitive multi-sport events and training opportunities for individuals of all ages and abilities in the South Midwest Region of USA Triathlon, the national governing body. The board of directors is charged with the responsibility of providing an environment that promotes social interaction between multi-sport athletes and cooperation between other sister clubs of “single” sport clubs in the area (i.e. swim, bike and running clubs).
USAT Sanctioned Event
This event is an U.S.A.T. Sanctioned Event. U.S.A.T. members will be required to show their U.S.A.T. card. Non – U.S.A.T. members or participants that cannot show their U.S.A.T. card will be required to purchase 1 day U.S.A.T. license. All participants will be required to fill out a U.S.A.T. liability waiver.
